The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, Netherlands, is one of the oldest art academies in Europe, known throughout the world for its innovative programs and departments such as the ArtScience Interfaculty and the post-graduate course in Type and Media. The identity for the academy’s 2013 Graduation Show was a collaborative effort by designers Anton Lamberg and Arthur Reinders Folmer, who had been working with the Royal Academy throughout the year. Instead of focusing on the polish of the finished show, the designers created a rough look that reminds exhibit guests of the years of study, work and struggle that the graduates went through, and that are part of the life of an artist. The slogan "Blood, Sweat, Tears, Diploma" is emblazoned in bold typography on the posters, catalog and website for the show.
