Background: “Sabor da Fazenda” (Flavor of the farm) is a line of dairy products designed for people who want to remember the taste of milk taken directly from the farm, but want the safety and hygiene of pasteurized milk. “Sabor da Fazenda” has 3.5 percent fat, a fact that brings more flavor and more energy to the consumer. The milk is produced by families of local farmers.

Reasoning: The “Sabor da Fazenda” line uses the characteristics, reliability and care of small farmers to translate the quality and benefits of their products. The visual concept uses the illustration of a glass milk bottle, cows, birds and ancient milk cans, along with illustrations of farm elements. These illustrations were used as a pattern inspired by the visual of an old-fashioned tablecloth, also a reference to the ancient and traditional way of making dairy products.

Challenges: Visually uniting the past and the tradition of rural production with a contemporary look. The studio always seeks to bring contributions to visual culture and artistic language in its projects, which in this case was challenging because client Dália Alimentos is a traditional company, and conservative in the visual aspects of its products.

Favorite details: The public acceptance and also the specialized recognition in the field of design made us very happy. Flavor of the Farm is a product that makes a difference at the point of sale along with other dairy products, with the potential to be sold beyond the region and even abroad.

Time constraints: This project was developed within a coherent time scale, which gave us time for several alternatives to be created until we reached the ideal solution.
