Technology brand Samsung designed its new SUHDTV to transmit a wider range of natural colors than other televisions, enabling viewers to enjoy more vivid pictures on their screens. Ad agency Cheil Kazakhstan visually extended the metaphor of Samsung’s televisions “painting” a home with more color with a series of print ads. Natural imagery, such as a deep blue waterfall or a forest back-lit by a fiery sunset, evokes the hair of a paintbrush as it is displayed both on the end of a brush’s handle as well as on the SUHDTV’s screen. Cheil Kazakhstan’s campaign ran in a home and interior design magazine, and took the bronze at the 2015 Epica Awards.
