Unglamorous, uninspired truckloads of printed materials end up on the desks of wholesalers every year: the annual catalog. Distributors get them from several sources, all featuring similar items, all presented in unimaginative and uninteresting ways. Seattle-based agency, Creature, wanted to offer buyers the information they needed, but in a memorable way. With irony and simplicity, “Virtual Shirting Technology” plays on the idea that despite a world of high technology, catalogs are still the preferred shopping method—and this one offers the only way to try on items without actually trying them on.
