"We went to exhaustive efforts in naming this Japanese restaurant," said creative director Craig Neuman. "Including 2 a.m. e-mail exchanges
with friends in Japan and a FedEx of the Tokyo Yellow pages. Shibuya (a fashion district in Tokyo) was agreed upon. Early on, we learned Shibuya would have three sections: formal dining, sushi and teppanyaki. The logo represents these areas, with the plate shape in the distressed square for dining, the side view of sushi rolls as the middle graphic and the solid surface of the third square representing teppanyaki."
