“We needed to let fans know that Season Three was available on DVD, in as big a way as we could,” creative director David Oakley said. “What’s bigger than a hearse? OK, a bus is bigger, but when we went to the bus companies in Los Angeles and San Francisco, they said, ‘Are you crazy? Our riders won’t ride on a hearse.’ For some reason, the bus companies in New York and Chicago had no problem with the concept. In LA and SF we hired wrapped empty buses and had them drive around, but they never picked up any passengers.”
