After a school break, students returning to Sydney, Australia’s, Stanmore Public School, had a whole new reason to get lost in a good book, thanks to Frost*’s recent work on their new library. Working in conjunction with Neeson Murcutt Architects the design studio helped bring the new library building to life with environmental graphics utilizing a bright color palette and playful typography. Colorful signage and custom-printed recycled carpet tiles bring a sense of fun to the interior, while large-scale quotes painted onto an external walkway animate the journey through the playground. Suddenly, detention in the library doesn’t seem like such a bad thing.
