Award-winning pastry chef William Werner’s Tell Tale Preserve Company, a modern patisserie and delicatessen, is set to open in Spring 2011 on Maiden Lane in San Francisco. To give people a taste of what’s to come, Tell Tale Preserve Co. has been creating bags filled with seasonally influenced preserves, confections, cookies and cakes. Their most recent is the Tell Tale Heart; wrapped in a custom, reusable, black-and-white Japanese furoshiki is Passionfruit-Olive Oil Curd, Chocolate Brioche, Dark Chocolate-Passionfruit-Coffee Bon Bons and White Chocolate-Passion Caramels. The finishing touch on the packaging, by Chen Design Associates, San Francisco, is a deep red letterpress gift tag—making it a tastefully perfect little all-in-one gift. Chen Design's work for this client is extensive and includes identity and brand development, packaging, print collateral, signage, retail store interior, in-store displays, and online and digital applications.
