When world-renowned cocktail bar The Everleigh wanted to bring some favorite drinks from its back bar to the home fridge, it worked with Melbourne, Australia–based design studio The Company You Keep to develop the brand and packaging for a range of bottled cocktails.

The focus was to package four classic cocktails—the manhattan, the negroni, the old fashioned and the martini—as both gift collections and individual drinks to take home and enjoy in home comfort. With a low volume and premium price point, the packaging needed to carry the esteem and experience of the bar in a compact offering. 

The final rectangular bottle not only flips conventions, but also gives a sense of time, evokes the Prohibition era the bar is famous for and allows for robustness in freight. Its materiality and design sensibility draw influence from vintage fragrance packaging, referencing minimal and classic typography to reflect the luxurious, handcrafted effort that goes into each bottle. Slate-gray and copper foil were used to elevate the premium experience, ensuring a range worthy of The Everleigh’s old-world cocktail sensibilities.
