Austin-based Decoder Ring Design Concern promotes The Hold Steady’s show at a local music venue (the poster was also sold by at the event and on the band’s Web site). The design incorporates lyrics about poet John Berryman, who toward the end of his life was either working himself into the ground or drinking himself into a stupor. While it may sound like a bit of a downer, the band has a knack for turning sad stories into fist-pumping anthems. The featured Berryman quote is the song’s chorus.
