With the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Maple Leafs fast approaching—a feat only reached by a select few ice hockey teams—the Maple Leafs needed a ticket package worthy of the occasion—a keepsake that could embody this landmark season.
Drawing inspiration from retro illustrated posters, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment’s in-house creative team and Tampa, Florida–based illustrator Conrad Garner created a vintage look on each ticket, depicting quotes from influential Leafs personalities of the past century. Over 250 individual sketches were created for the entire package, encased in an embossed cover. The intricate leaf veins surrounding the embossed foil logo represent the Maple Leafs’ rich history, and the veins spreading away from the logo represent what’s to come.
