TYPO, the international magazine dedicated to typography, graphic design and visual communication celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. The first issue of 2008 brought a number of changes: the content structure changed as did the size, layout, paper and the publishing schedule (from a bimonthly to a quarterly journal). The magazine is now divided in two sections of features articles and short notes, font reviews, columns of editors and contributors, and information about contests and conferences with all content printed in English and Czech. TYPO 31 is dedicated to Korean design, with articles written by top South Korean designers, researchers and lecturers in typography and design on the historic evolution of Korean type, the present trends in Korean graphic design and its most important representatives, Korean calligraphy and the design of Latin fonts designated for setting with Chinese, Japanese and Korean type.
