Ad agency STIR created a new campaign for the United Performing Arts Fund, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds performing arts groups in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area. Figures on a stage highlight the three disciplines of the performing arts—dance, theater and music—but remain only visible through shadow, referring to what would happen if funding for these arts were lost. “We created aesthetically engaging visuals that show the consequences to the performing arts scene if funding dries up,” says STIR Milwaukee’s creative director Scott Shalles. “The performing arts are an important part of any community, and STIR wanted to ensure that funding continues to grow.” The ad campaign ran in newspapers and regional magazines, and were also printed as posters to be handed out at UPAF’s fundraising events.
The nonprofit’s campaign by Wieden+Kennedy brings people back to their passion with virtual reality.
