By bringing such ordinary objects to life with cheeky copywriting, DDB Berlin highlights a simple, yet powerful truth in print ads for Volkswagen: we are not as adventurous and well-traveled as we might think we are, and in fact, we are surrounded by things that travel way more than we do. By poking fun at our sedentary lives, the ads inspire us to “get out there” in Volkswagen’s SUV range.
