As defined by the dictionary, wanderlust is a strong innate desire to travel. Foreign Policy Design Group, Singapore, created a custom logotype and collateral materials for this Singaporean hotel that effortlessly capture the discovery of travel. The keepsakes that people hold onto as mementos of a trip were artfully deployed into the collateral set: bus ticket for rate cards; an air ticket brochure inserted into an air-ticket wallet; and a notebook/journal aptly titled Itinerary (a guidebook with area maps, train/bus maps, shop and restaurant listings and blank pages). A tricolor airmail band makes the materials synonymous with traveling and correspondence and dashed lines evoke the lines between destinations. Depending on the activities—checking in, assignment of room number and Wi-Fi password or payment—various visa stamps are ink-stamped onto the Itinerary during each guest’s stay.
