Batman, an icon of popular culture for over 70 years, has been expressed in countless ways by scores of artists; the directive was to reimagine him with a unique and fresh visual aesthetic. This striking and stylized portrayal met with critical acclaim by top gaming publications and set off a frenzy of online buzz regarding the release of the game. The integrated campaign includes outdoor, online and TV spots targeted at hardcore gamers, comics fans and hit buyers. Not only was the release of Arkham City the biggest ever for Warner Bros., but it was almost double that of the previous game Arkham Asylum, making it the fourth biggest launch this year.
