Following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2015, serial entrepreneur and former Canadian advertising executive Monica Ruffo sought out pure and natural plant-based supplements. However, after seeing that the market lacked clean products and appealing branding, she created her own and named her passion project Well Told Health. Working with Montréal designer and longtime collaborator Geneviève Lapointe, Ruffo chose warm, inviting colors and designed custom-blown square bottles inspired by old British apothecaries. The rose gold caps on the bottles, along with a combination of old and new fonts, create a modern apothecary look. Ruffo also worked with London, United Kingdom–based illustrator Josh McKenna to create the brand’s promotional video and packaging, which uses recycled paper and water-based inks.
