Location: Sydney, Australia
Duration: I worked as a graphic designer for around 6 years. I’ve been drawing type and lettering for a little over one year.
Staff: Me!
Education: In 2005, I received a BA in design and visual communication from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. I completed a master’s program in Type and Media from the Royal Academy of Art in Den Haag in 2012.
Cultural Influences: Australia doesn’t have a long history in design, so I look outward to many people and other countries for inspiration. In type, I’m heavily influenced by Dutch designers but also American heritage type, like old sign lettering.
Environment: I work from home.
Philosophy: I try to work from broad/rough to specific/refined.
