Duration: Three years.
Staff: Myself.
Education: BA in studio art from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois.
Cultural Influences: Exploring interior spaces that people have designed for their homes and businesses serves as a constant source of inspiration. I’m also influenced by a great group of friends that loves to go on both local and distant adventures; I get tremendous pleasure from exploring new landscapes and cities with them. I’m grateful for my family’s support and the opportunity to learn from and assist for Jim Newberry, a Chicago-based photographer. I follow the work of some amazing photographers (Bart Pogoda, Alex Matzke) and their images challenge me and remind me that there is beauty in the nuances of life, light and color.
Environment: I work half on location and half from home. It’s a great balance.
Philosophy: “Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding! Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won’t regret it; never let her go—she’ll make your life glorious.” —proverbs 4:7-9, The Message
