Duration: A little more than five years.
Staff: Only me. But I am part of the collective, Studio 1482.
Education: A BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York. I also studied extensively with the late David J. Passalacqua.
Cultural Influences: Museums, books and music primarily. New York City, Picasso, Matisse, Topolski, Brangwyn, Sargent, Walt Disney, classic illustration, Brodovitch and countless others. People watching.
Environment: I work out of my home studio. I'm surrounded by one wall full of music and another full of art books. Music is on constantly. The busier I am, the messier it is. My baby boy makes noise upstairs while I work and that helps me remember how lucky I am to be here at home.
Philosophy: Love what you do. And go do it.
The photography of New Yorker Timothy Devine gravitates toward suburban and cinematic influences.
