Duration: Four years.

Location: Melbourne, Australia.

Education: BA in visual communications from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

Artistic influences: My dad is an illustrator, so I grew up drawing pictures of airplanes with him. Initially, I wanted to be a traditional pen-and-ink illustrator, but moved into the world of digital design when I was a young teen with a beat up Toshiba laptop and a cracked version of the Adobe suite. Now, I make music as well as visuals, so that has created connections for me in the music industry. I love developing artists’ campaigns and creating visual identities for musicians and bands.

I think it’s always nice when there is a little narrative attached to design work!

Favorite project: Chet Faker’s 2015 Australian tour artwork features the musician’s face outlined by the borders of the Australian map. People don’t always see that at first glance—I think it’s always nice when there is a little narrative attached to design work!

Aspirations: To be honest, I’m doing the work I’ve always dreamed of now, working with some of my favorite bands and brands, and meeting people in the industry I’ve always looked up to. It might sound cliché, but I want to continue working with cool clients on interesting and engaging projects while improving my skills as an artist.

Philosophy: Put the hours in, and everything else will follow.
