Staff: I'm an art director and senior designer at Korn Design (a boutique studio with about ten people). Later at home, it's just me often happily working late into the night.

Education: MFA, Rhode Island School of Design, graphic design; Collegiate teaching certification, Brown University; BFA, University of Kansas, graphic design, minor in art history.

Cultural Influences: Bruno Munari, Margaret Kilgallen, Robert Bringhurst, architectural salvage, hip hop, short fiction, train rides, coffee culture, urban planning, the choreography of Jirí Kylián and Merce Cunningham, dance notation, comedy, fluxus poetry, Surrealism, old type specimens and wallpaper patterns, back issues of Dot Dot Dot.

Environment: By day, I work in a white-washed loft-like space. By night, I design and illustrate (and write) at an oversized antique steamer trunk with a fold-down desk.
