A Los Angeles–based creative agency working with clients at all stages of their business, Lazaris dedicates itself to crafting deliberate strategy behind the striking visuals it creates. “Early on in my career, I didn’t have the craftsmanship or skills to knock out 100 logos for a client super quickly,” says founder and creative director Alex Lazaris. “So, I overindexed by creating incredibly robust strategies that would align stakeholders early and define the correct area for the brand to live. To this day, those skills are paying dividends and are a major reason why our clients stay with us past the launching of their brands.” Having been inspired to develop creative skills by street artists—particularly Banksy and Shepard Fairey—Lazaris, a self-taught designer, used the name “Lazaris Creative” to present his freelance work while he took on creative director roles at Epic Games and Twitch as well as head of brand design at Linktree. “Eventually as the business and I both matured, I decided to refocus it,” he explains. “The simplification of the name to ‘Lazaris’ marks that transition and is a personal reminder of the quality bar I strive to achieve with each project.” Now, helming a creative team, he has found himself repositioning again as a business encouraging a healthy work-life balance and a profit-sharing model. “My goal is to create an environment where people get to do great work with awesome clients and have a good time while doing it,” Lazaris says. “I’ll keep working toward that goal until the wheels come off.”
