Duration: Three years.
Location: London, United Kingdom.
Education: Master’s in animation from the Royal College of Art in London, United Kingdom.
Career path: I graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2015. Since then, I’ve been freelancing in London.
Artistic influences: My approach to drawing has its roots in East Asia, while taking influence from sequential art and the ligne claire style in Belgian comics.
Favorite projects: I’m very happy with the three artworks I created for luggage manufacturer RIMOWA. It took a long time to make them, and I really appreciate that the client gave me a lot of freedom to make my own pieces and a lot of time to perfect the details. Girl with RIMOWA Classic was displayed on the wall of RIMOWA’s flagship Hong Kong store.
Work environment: Currently, I work from my desk in a big factory-converted studio in Shoreditch, the heart of vibrant east London, where a bunch of creative professionals work and live.
Approach: I’m interested in the subtle tension between humans and urban space in contemporary life and have always tried to combine realistic line work with minimalistic compositions to create a contrasted, muted world.
Aspirations: I would like to be an independent artist who has an individual practice while collaborating with great designers and brands from all sorts of fields.
