Duration: Three years.
Education: BFA in graphic design from Pratt Institute, New York.
Location: Brooklyn, New York.
Career path: Originally, I wanted to be a professional ballerina. I sort of fell into graphic design. My work spans every discipline from branding, print, digital, art direction and experiential. Every day is different, which is the best part of my job.
Cultural environment: I prefer to work around people and music. I feel the most creatively stimulated around other like-minded people.
Approach: I think I take design less seriously than most of my peers in the creative industry. Don’t get me wrong: I love my job and I’m incredibly grateful to be able to make a living doing something creative. But let’s be honest—at the end of the day, it’s just design.
Aspirations: Ideally, in five to ten years, I’d like to be retired. And working on a passion project of some sort.
Philosophy: Don’t take things so seriously. Learn from as many people as you can. Do what makes you happy. Don’t allow the promise of comfort dictate your life.
