Duration: I’ve been an illustrator for four years. Before that, a graphic designer and also a lecturer in graphic design.
Staff: I work alone.
Education: I have a degree in graphic design from the University of the West of England (1989).
Cultural Influences: My work is influenced by the act of drawing more than anything else. Pieces come together as a response to either a brief or personal ideas. Often the drawing is a journey of discovery; as an image develops, new marks suggest new approaches.
Environment: I live in a very peaceful, rural Welsh village and work out of a large, wooden studio just outside my house. I work with two monitors on a Mac G5. When I'm working on ideas, I like silence; music is good when I reach the final render.
Philosophy: Put your family first.
For Connecticut-based design firm Jargon Boy Design Studio, family is everything.
