A collective of filmmakers, photographers and artists established in 2020, Innsbruck, Austria–based WE FEEL finds its strength in creating a wide variety of projects—from still photography to motion to short films—for clients who engage in issues related to sustainability, fairness and artistic representation. “WE FEEL aims to realize projects that focus on the inside of a person and the external mirror of the outside world,” says Chó, founder of WE FEEL. “We want to show that, especially in a small town, collaboration between different artists has enormous creative potential, apart from all the sensory-flooded social media posts.” Inspired by a constellation of disparate influences that, when connected, have the potential to bring their creativity to new heights, WE FEEL explores the vanishing boundaries between the illusory digital world and the analog world in its work, showing the detrimental nature of an algorithmically controlled reality and encouraging viewers to reconnect with themselves, each other and their environments. “In contrast to the spheres of advertising and entertainment, WE FEEL is not about manipulating people’s emotional world, but rather showing the primal feeling, the connection between the inner and outer worlds,” Chó says. “We want to remind people in an honest, touching and humorous way of their true nature, their inner strength, and their childlike self that was open, happy and free before being restricted by the worldly concepts that overwhelmed them.”
Led by creative director and type designer Fatih Hardal, this Istanbul-based type foundry explores minimal, emotive type and graphic design.
