“For the first collaboration between Son Lux and the Made Shop more than five years ago, we created this cover from start to finish in 28 hours—to mirror the 28 days it took Ryan Lott to create and produce the album. Shot from a forklift above, 28 colorful smoke bombs were set off simultaneously, arrayed in a rigid square grid. The title of the album then came simply from juxtaposing the typography between photographs from two different moments in time.”
