“As an extension of its larger Keep Reinventing campaign, Hewlett-Packard (HP) partnered with Disney to create the Sound Wars experience for the global premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. HP challenged Grammy-nominated producer DJ Snake and Vine star Rudy Mancuso to reinvent the film’s music. A video invited fans to record themselves re-creating two iconic Star Wars themes in their own ways for a chance to have their videos featured on screen and on the red carpet. In order to showcase the submissions and bring fan-generated content to the red-carpet event, we collaborated with ad agency 180LA to create an installation piece using HP’s versatile Pavilion X2 laptops. A microsite gathered light-side and dark-side theme renditions, from which select entries were displayed on the laptops.”
