To bring the excitement and spectacle of the Olympics to this part of the world (when the games themselves were taking place on the other side of the world) we put regulation 100-metre tracks on the sides of skyscrapers in Hong Kong and Osaka. Then we found a bunch of crazy-ass climbers. Held heats, semis and a final over the three weekends of the games and awarded large cash prizes to the winners.
