With the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King becoming more distant, the challenge was to revive a visceral connection to the civil rights struggle and the MLK holiday. In the journey from banner to home page, the user is confronted with two entrances, one for whites and another for 'colored,' making the 'separate but equal' experience tangible, and illuminating civil rights history through the micro-site, www.remembersegregation.org.
