CREDO is a mobile phone service that donates a portion of charges to liberal causes, such as gay marriage and ending the war. This installation asked San Francisco residents to text in what they thought Bush and Cheney were really thinking. In real time, the creative and controversial text messages were projected onto blank walls in the Castro, SoMA and Union Square districts. Afterwards, participants received a series of text messages informing them about the company, phone plans, free text alerts about political rallies—ways their phones can also be badges for beliefs.
