Surprise Part 1 (Open on an apartment crammed with people waiting to throw a surprise party for someone. A lookout person by the window sees the birthday boy walking into the building) Lookout: He's here! He's here! (Everyone shushes each other. We cut to the man as he enters the building lobby. He opens his mail box. Cut back to everyone in the apartment waiting. From inside the apartment we hear the man come up the stairs and his keys jingle on the other side of the door. Just then, the phone in the apartment rings and, just as the answering machine picks up, the man walks into his apartment) Everyone: Surprise! (Cut to fuzz) "Surprise" Part 2 (Open on the same scene, an apartment crammed with people waiting to throw a surprise party for someone. A lookout person by the window sees the birthday boy walking into the building) Lookout: He's here! He's here! (Everyone shushes each other. Cut to the man as he enters the building lobby. He opens his mail box and this time he drops his mail. He bends down to pick it up. Cut back to everyone in the apartment waiting. The phone in the apartment rings, the answering machine picks up. But this time, because he's late, everyone in the room hears someone leave a message) On machine: Hey Dan this is Al from work, we need to talk. I just saw the security camera footage and it's clearly you masturbating in the conference room. Come see me in the morning please. (Inside the apartment people hear the keys jingle. The door opens, the man walks in and everyone let's out a really weird, half-hearted "Surprise…" Super: There are stories, and there are HBO stories. It's not TV. It's HBO.
