Heirloom :60 SFX: Sentimental music. (Open on an old brown station wagon parked in the driveway of a house. Three people, a young man, his mother and his friend, are stuffing boxes into the trunk of the car. His father is staring at the whole scene from the second floor window of the house. The young man runs back into the house. We see him enter his room. Here, he finds his father. His father is holding an old picture of them together which he stares at with nostalgia. The young man sits on his bed and proceeds to pack clothes into his suitcase revealing that this is the day he moves from his parents' house. His father watches him pack and caringly smiles. He then sits next to him) Father: Danny, today is a very important day. That's why I want to give you something that's been a part of our family for years. (Danny stops what he's doing and gives his father his full attention) Father: Your great grandfather gave it to my father, my father gave it to me, and I want to give it to you. (The father is chewing something. He then spits it into his hand. Zoom into to reveal he spit out an old piece of gum. Danny looks at him in disbelief. The father hands Danny the piece of gum. Danny puts the gum in his mouth and starts chewing. We see how he enjoys the taste of it. Danny looks at his father thankfully and gives him a huge hug) Super: The ridiculously long lasting gum. Product shot of Stride.
