ALS is a fatal neuromuscular disease that starts by paralyzing the body. To spur donations, we needed to show the reality of living with this terrible disease. This banner asked users to help someone with ALS perform a simple but personal task that people suffering from the disease could not do for themselves. By asking people to help somebody with ALS physically, we helped them see the value of helping financially.
