The assignment was a UBS billboard for a JFK Airport terminal space. But rather than simply do an ad within the new global campaign for UBS—We Will Not Rest—we found someone who embodies the very spirit of the campaign. Meet Stephen Wiltshire, an autistic artist who draws fantastically detailed cityscapes from memory, with an unwavering dedication to his craft. We contacted him about doing a drawing of New York City to use as a billboard, and he was excited. We flew him to from London to New York, he took a helicopter ride around Manhattan, then spent four days in a studio composing the drawing. We filmed the whole experience. On July 11th, the spectacular went live at JFK, taking up three massive panels in the international arrivals hall. And to complete its journey, the drawing was eventually auctioned off to benefit a 9/11 charity."
