Top Dog Underdog is a play about a deep sibling rivalry between two down-and-out brothers that continues well into their adult lives as each tries to prove his skill as the best 3-Card Monte street hustler. The playing card represents each brother and their favorite card (the two of hearts vs. the two of spades). The similarities of a heart and spade made for perfect symbolism.
