Rooted in whisky lore, Monkey Shoulder is inspired by, and named in honor of, the maltmen who are among the few still to turn the barley by hand, using a shiel. Monkey Shoulder is the nickname given to the stoop maltmen often develop after repeatedly bending over whilst turning the malt. The iconic bottle design, branded by three pewter monkeys, each represent one of the three single malts used to create this whisky.
