Often at MTV, when we're working on something we ask ourselves, What's the last thing people would expect from us? In this case it was a huge gold baroque frame wrapped around the largest HD screen in the world. So we did it. Then filled the screen with a very twisted, unique and just plain weird blend of public art and image promotion for the channel. Designers were challenged with the task of capturing an overly stimulated Times Square audience and tell a story with limited time and absolutely no sound. Easy? Nope. Fun? Awww yeah.
