No Dirty Gold is a campaign started by Earthworks, an organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the impacts of mining. Most consumers don't know where their gold comes from, or how it's mined. For instance, producing one gold ring generates 20 tons of toxic waste. Powerful mining companies are responsible for displacing communities, contaminating pristine environments and harming workers. This needs to change and we hope this campaign is a start.
