The band asked us to design packaging that showed they were from Africa, and also conveyed a sense of humor. We shot them among the displays at the Durban museum where the stuffed animals provided just the right sense of irony. With a tight budget for only 300 CDs, we were forced to box clever; the images are actually photographic prints (which was cheaper than litho printing) and the outer pack uses a gold foil (again a cheaper option).
