The assignment was to design packaging for Shiner 99, a Munich-style Helles created in honor of Spoetzl Brewery's 99th year of brewing. We culled design cues from German Biergartens, the Bavarian flag and German Coats of Arms to create authentic appeal. Because a sense of humor is also part of what makes Shiner, Texas, so special, the bottle cap for 99 reads: Take one down, pass it around.
