In preparation for the October 15, 2009 self-publication of my book, The End, I traveled to Blanchette Press in Vancouver, B.C., to print a 16-page, 16 x 20, Smythe-sewn signature of the book. I sampled paper and printing methods (quad-tone with added red, printed on 80 lb. Mohawk superfine). Then I decided to print 3,500 copies of the signature to use as 1) promotion for the book and 2) a self-promotion for my work.
