Over the course of 8 days and with the help of more than 100 volunteers, a mural consisting of 250,000 Eurocents was created according to a master plan. After completion the coins were left free and unguarded for the public to interact with. Less than twenty hours after the grand opening, a local resident noticed a person bagging the coins and called the police. Upon arriving on the scene, the police eventually swept up the entire piece and took the coins to the police station for safekeeping!
