In September 2008, a new campaign by BBDO New York was launched for The Economist in Philadelphia. The goal was to build awareness by positioning the brand as a compelling read for the intellectually curious. To reach college students in the Greater Philadelphia area, pizzerias in close proximity to college campuses were supplied with Economist-branded pizza boxes. Each one reinforced the 'Get a world view' platform with a pie chart that applies to pizza consumption.
