John Lennon: The New York City Years celebrates John Lennon's life and work from 1971 to 1980, the years he lived in New York City. Using an all-white color scheme, the design objective was to support and enhance the subject matter, artifacts and media, while creating a contemplative viewing experience that reflected the minimalist aesthetic embraced by John and Yoko. The exhibit concludes with the careful placement of design elements that respectfully address Lennon's death.
