Slime Campaign: The main purpose of these spots was to reintroduce Nickelodeon’s signature slime in an unique and innovative way. Slime—a common element from Nick’s past and regular feature in the annual Kids’ Choice Awards—was completely reinvented in this campaign. By filming Nick’s A-list talent with a Phantom camera getting slimed, then replaying the footage in high-quality slow motion, we presented our stars in a candid, playful and surprising manner never before seen on our air. There were some technical challenges involved: working out the consistency of the slime and determining how it would look at different frame rates, but the music, pacing, editing and other facets of the spot all came together to create a completely new, arresting, and utterly evolved image for Nick—one that honors are past while looking to the future of the brand.
