Edward Pond, writer/photographer/client
The Bang, design firm
I travelled to India, got bitten by a dog, went back home and got a bunch of rabies shots, then flew back to India and ate the country, is a collaboration between photographer Edward Pond and designer Bill Douglas—shot and written by Pond about his travels through India and the place food holds in Indian culture. Pond handed Douglas 5,000 photos and the task of choosing 100 and designing a tome that—along with text, additional eclectic imagery and Douglas's hand-painted typography—would convey the beauty of the work and its subject in a reinvented book form. 96 pages, foldout covers, 6 x 8 1/2, Janson Text.
