For a traveling exhibition titled Social Energy: Contemporary Communication Design from the Netherlands to be presented in a gallery in Shenshen, China, our task was to promote both the gallery and the event. Since the gallery's outer wall is hexagonal, we created a unique typeface, based on the hexagonal shape of molecular structures, to represent not only the 'social energy' of design but the structure of the gallery. The shape was integrated throughout the exhibit, and on the gallery's exterior walls, with light lamps and the typeface was used on all signage and posters.
