AIGA St. Louis' fifteenth annual juried design show was scheduled smack in the middle of the Great Recession, a time of layoffs and severe belt-tightening for many design firms. We felt our call for entries had to confront these issues with an honest, straightforward message or firms would simply not enter. Our solution was a one color screenprint on donated copies of the Wall Street Journal, with a real nickel and dime taped on it.
